AŽD Praha was awarded the Ankara depot signalling project in Turkey

AŽD Praha Co. has signed contract for delivery and installation of signaling equipment for railway depot Ankara in Turkey amounting to 3.2 million Euros.

The relevant public tender put out by Turkish State Railways (TCDD) was won by a consortium of two Turkish companies GÜLERMAK-KOLİN GAR COMPLEX CONSTRUCTION JOINT VENTURE (GKJV), and AŽD Praha subsequently signed the contract with this company as its main subcontractor for signaling equipment.

The negotiations about the price were hard but we managed to come to a reasonable compromise profitable for both parties” says the Commercial Export Director of AŽD Praha, Ing. Petr Žatecký and ads: “From our previous projects in Turkey we know that Turkish market is very exacting and therefore we are glad that we have succeeded with our own technical solution which meets the highest European demands for safe railway operation SIL-4.”
The works on the project will start still this year and the whole work should be completed till the end of year 2015.
