Czech technologies will make Turkish railways safer

AŽD Praha Co. has signed contract for delivery and installation of signaling and telecommunication equipment for railway line Tekirdag – Muratli and revamping of Cerkezkoy control center (CTC) in Turkey amounting to 5.3 million Euros.

The relevant public tender put out by Turkish State Railways (TCDD) was won by a Turkish company Ultra Teknoloji and AŽD Praha subsequently signed the contract with this company as its main subcontractor.

The project includes design, manufacture, delivery, installation, testing and putting into operation of complete signaling and telecommunication system for the safe railway traffic at this line.

„We prepared our offer for Ultra Teknoloji Co. in accordance with its concept of technical solution and price expectation. The elaboration of the offer was made easier by our participation in the tender where we ended at the second place differing only a little from the winner,” says the Commercial Export Director of AŽD Praha, Ing. Petr Žatecký and ads: “Turkish market is very exacting and we are glad that we have succeeded with our own technical solution which meets the highest European demands for safe railway operation SIL-4. We expect that quality project realization will create conditions for gaining of other orders in this territory.”

The works on the project will start still this year and the whole work should be completed till the end of year 2013.
